Before Kim Kardashian became a West, created Skims or racked in a billion, she starred in her very own sextape with co-star Ray J, released by Vivid Entertainment. The company line has always been, Ray J released the sextape that introduces this Kardashian to pop culture. Since Ray J has remained almost radio silent over the years regarding the veracity of the allegation against him, the public and media ran with the concocted story as fact.

This sextape was released over 15 years ago, we’re still talking about it why? Honestly we can thank Wack 100 for bringing the existence of additional types to light during  radio interviews.

As for the original tape’s inceptions and marketing strategies being made public. The Kardashians and Hulu can hold this L. In an exclusive interview with Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee, Ye told the world, not only did the additional tapes exist, he in fact met with Ray J, retrieved them, and gave them to Kim just before her SNL appearance.

At the time Ye himself was knee deep in his ongoing divorce with Kim, launching his YGEBB line and working on the Donda 2 album. For the most part, there was nothing but crickets from the Kardashian camp regarding the situation until promo clips of the new KUWTK season started making rounds on the internet.

Wack 100 and his wife also sat down with Jason Lee to discuss a phone conversation her personally had with Kris Jenner regarding the issue.

As episodes started airing Ray J conducted an interview with with Daily Mail while in the UK. Ray J told DailyMail.com

this is the one and only time he will discuss the sex tape that he and Kim made in 2002 and which was released by Vivid Entertainment five years later.

Addressing the unfounded allegations that, he may have performed sexual act on Kim will she was unconscious or sleeping and that he in fact leaked the sex tape.

Ray J claimed that the sex tape was Kim’s idea and that momager Kris brokered the deal on their behalf. The Kardashians are known for their business cunning, so this wasn’t necessarily news. What was shocking is the confirmation and continued denial regarding the issue.  

Let’s get into what made him go scorched earth on Instagram Sat 9/10. Kris and Kylie Jenner appeared on the Late Late Show with James Corden, where apparently Kris underwent a polygraph test conducted by John Grogan. She was asked a series of questions, one of which was, “where you involved with the release of the Kim/Ray J sex tape.” She replied “No” and passed.

Well that was enough for Ray.

Ray J took to Instagram to let everyone know that John isn’t licensed and his does not have credentials. Ray proceeded to say he’s going to sue the Late Late Show, the network and Jenner for defamation. Ray J promised viewers receipts and further explanation regarding the tape and boy did he deliver.

 This whole situation has left fans wondering what Ray’s mother Sonja Norwood has to say about all this. Well, the iconic momager already had her mic drop moment during a family interview on the Wendy Williams Show back in 2008.
